Have you ever wondered the reason for the Mary Prince Day over the Emancipation/Cupmatch holiday?

On this 2-hour bus tour, learn about some of Mary Prince's experiences and the history of Enslavement and Colonization in Bermuda which evolved into the annual Emancipation/Cupmatch holiday.

In the African spirit of Sankofa, may we honor the past, acknowledge the present and begin to create, imagine, and forge a better future together.

Highlights:   
1. Visit "School Lands Cottage" – A place where Mary Prince was an enslaved captive of the Ingham’s.
2. Visit "Ocean View Golf Course" – Learn the story of Sue, which was Mary Prince’s mother.
3. Visit “Mary Prince Emancipation Park” – A park named in honor of Mary Prince.
4. Visit “Murrell’s Vale” – A place where Mary Prince was an enslaved captive of the Prudden’s.
5. Visit “Waterville” – Learn the story of Prince, which was Mary Prince’s father.
 
Departure point:  
Please check in at the Titan Express bus which will be parked outside of the Ferry Terminal on Front Street, and this will be the return location.   

Please ensure to arrive at least 10 minutes early for check-in and to ensure an on-time departure. The tour is 2 hours & will depart promptly at the scheduled times.
