The Bermuda School of Music, a registered Bermuda charity (483), has been providing music education to the Island since 1978, commencing with the Dunbarton School of Music. It is our aim to provide community music programmes for students of all ages. This includes offering free group and private music lessons and community programmes in areas of need to children and seniors around the Island, by a highly qualified local and international faculty.
Music education plays a pivotal role in the comprehensive and developed learning experience, encouraging skills that last a lifetime. Decades of studies have shown the impact of learning a musical instrument has in establishing benefits that go far beyond the aesthetics and joy of making music:
